Rave Reviews for Christmas Carol!

Christmas Carol 400x267The Prizery and HCLT's joint production of A Christmas Carol recevied rave reviews during its opening weekend. The classic story by Charles Dickens is brought to life on stage in the Chastain Theatre at The Prizery. The music, scenery, costumes, and lights help tell this wonderful story of forgiveness, family, hope and love.

Scrooge, Bob Cratchit, Marley, the three Ghosts, Tiny Tim, and a huge ensemble of regional talent are wonderful and will truly get you into the holiday spirit.

Giving Tree To Be Raffled

Giving Tree 300x400Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital has sponsored a Giving Tree at The Prizery. The tree will be raffled during intermission at the closing performance of Christmas Carol on Sunday, December 13th. One ticket is $10.00 - 3 for $20.00.

The 7 1/2 foot tree features beautiful ornaments valued at over $1,000.00. The tree will be delivered and set up for the lucky winner. Additionally, if you don't have use for the tree, but would like the ornaments, they can be delivered to you.

All proceeds benefit The Prizery.

Andrea Burke in the Robert F. Cage Art Gallery

Clarksville artist, Andrea Burke, will open her exhibit at the Robert F. Cage Art Gallery at The Prizery with a reception on Sunday, November 8th from 3:00pm – 5:00pm. The exhibit will continue through December.

Art has always been a part of Andrea’s life in one way or another with many types of venues from piano, violin, and oboe; to clay, bread dough, tole painting and lots of sewing. She took her first watercolor class at the San Diego Art Museum in 2000, and has been hooked ever since with the variety of textures, the movement of the paint in the water, the array of techniques, and the endless potential for continuous growth!
