Aquila weaves a web of theatrical magic that will take an audience to the heart of an enchanted forest, the injustice of the Athenian court, and the political strife of the fairy kingdom. At the heart of the story is the Fairy King's servant, the impish Puck, whose magic creates an endless supply of mirth, mistaken identity, and inappropriate, if not absolutely ludicrous, passions. Don't miss this annual appearance of the Aquila Theatre presenting one of William Shakespeare's most beloved pieces of theatre.

Robert Harling's first play, Steel Magnolias centers around a group of gossipy southern ladies in a small-town beauty parlor, the play is alternately hilarious and touching-and, in the end, deeply revealing of the strength and purposefulness which underlies the antic banter of tis characters.

Bring your love and dance the night away to the swing rhythms of the East Side Big Band! This group is made up of the finest young musicians in the capital of Virginia. Their repertoire ranges from he big band sounds of Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Benny Goodman, and Glenn Miller, but also includes more contemporary selections from Stevie Wonder, The Beatles, Amy Winehouse, and More.Listeners will also be in for a treat from the group's vocalist/pianist, Adrian Duke, as he croons popular standards from the Frank Sinatra and Ray Charles Songbook.

How many divas can on stage hold? Founded by Halifax County native Cynthia Dixon, the 7 Sopranos perform a beautiful program of classical and contemporary music. With this in mind, the 7 Sopranos' Artistic Director, Cynthia Cole, has used her years of experience and love of classical music to form a unique group call the 7 Sopranos. With each voice possessing its own unique weight, timbre, shimmer, sound, each soprano's personality is captured in these unique musical arrangements.

The oldest operating theatre in American, Walnut Street Theatre will present its final performance of its North American tour of The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams at The Prizery. The play is considered autobiographical as it recounts the lives of characters that hit close to home for Tennessee. Our performance will happen on the night of the 100th anniversary of his birth.

VIVER BRAZIL'S Feet on the Ground takes audiences for an inspiring cultural journey through Brazil, featuring a dazzling program of Afriacar orixas (deities), ceremonial celebrations, the Brazilian martial arts/dance form of capoeira, and Carnival. The performance showcases exhilarating Afro-Brazilian traditional and contemporary movement, stunning costumes and pulsating percussion and voice.
