Feb. 7 • "Painting as Color" - VA Museum of Fine Arts workshop - Sat. 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.; location - The Prizery; Call Carol Ray - 575-0053 to register.
Feb. 2, 8, & 23 • "Collage" - 6 - 9 p.m.; location - The Prizery; Instructor: Karen Shelton - call 572-3146 to register.
Feb. 16 & 23 • "Stained Glass Workshop" - 6-9 p.m.; location - The Prizery; Instructor: Patsy Harris - call 517-0237 to register.
March • "Art Month" - Art from all the schools in South Boston and Halifax County was on display at the Prizery during the month of March.
March 6, 13 & 20 • "Children's Watercolor Classes" - 2 - 3:30 p.m.; instructor: Krista Skelton - call 572-3027 to register.
March 23, 30 & April 6 & 13 • "Finding Your Style" - 7:00 to 9:00pm, fee is $40. Will meet at the Prizery Conference Room. Materials will be provided for the first two sessions. Media of your choice will be used for last two sessions. Instructor - Sally Lambrecht.
June 14, 21, 28 - "Ceramics" - Mondays, 7 - 9 p.m. For adults, $30 - Parsons-Bruce members, $35 - non-members, plus a $25 materials fee. Each student will make a plate, a vase, and a stained piece from mold made forms. Call instructor Pat Rogers to sign up for class or for more information - 572-3581.

July 6, 13, 20, & 27 - " Collage for Fun and Fine Art" - Tuesdays, , 10:00 – 12:00 a.m., for adults. $65.00 – Parsons-Bruce members, $75.00 – non-PB members. Call instructor Karen Shelton to sign up and for more information about class – 572-3146.

July 6, 13, 20 & 27 - " Beginning Watercolor" - Tuesdays, , 7:00 – 9:00 p.m., for interested teenagers 15 yrs. and older and adults, $40 – Parsons-Bruce members, $45 – non-PB members. Call instructor Carol Ray to sign up and for more information about class – 575-0053.

July 12-16 - " Pre-School Art Class" - 9:30-10:15 a.m., for children ages 4 and 5. $30 – Parsons-Bruce members, $35 – non-PB members., plus a $4 supply fee. Each day has a theme that we will create around. We’ll have zany fun! The class will draw, paint, act, and make puppets. Join us! July 19 – 23 - " Drawing and Collage for Children" -
    Class #1 – 9-10:15 a.m., ages 6-8
    Class #2 – 10:30 – 11:45 a.m. ages 9 – up
$30 – Parsons-Bruce members, $35 – non-PB members.
Students will experience creating a collage using various kinds of papers and materials. Drawings and cut paper objects will be added to the collages for depth and dimension. A clear finish will be applied over the work using a matte or semi-gloss medium. Call instructor Betty Caldwell to sign up and for more information about class – 575-7755.

Aug. 2 – 6 - " Creative Art for Ages 6 – 11" - 9:30 – 10:30 a.m., $30 – Parsons-Bruce members, $35 – non-members, plus a $4 supply fee. See art through different experiences. We will draw, paint, mold, and tear. Come be creative! Call instructor Krista Skelton to sign up and for more information about class - 572-3027.

Aug. 9 – 10 - "African Folktale" - Free Puppetry Program Open To 60 Students At Prizery. Students wishing to sign up for the Monday-Tuesday program should contact Chris Jones , The Prizery's executive director, at 572-8339.

September 27 Tobacco Heritage Exhibit and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony followed by the Southern Heritage Festival at 10 a.m.
October 11 The Prizery Presents - "An Affair of the Arts" - 30 artists from 5 states
October 31 "Halloween Carnval" Friday 6 to 9 P.M.-
November 23 "A Taste of the Holidays" 6 to 8 P.M.
